Associations:
I graduated from Schaumburg High School in 1984 and attended Northern Illinois University right out
of high school. After several semesters at NIU, the cost of a university education was difficult to
afford and I opted to enter the workforce instead of completing my degree. In 1989 after working
several jobs that were unfulfilling, I realized that a degree was necessary to building any type of
career. I enrolled at Harper College in Palatine, IL and earned my associate of liberal arts degree.
Since moving to Cedar Park, I have been an active member of the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce
and currently serve as a diplomat. I am a graduate of Leadership Cedar Park 2006 and I assist in
educating the class of 2007 as associate curriculum chair. I had the pleasure of participating in the
inaugural class of Leadership LISD in 2006 and served as the voting member on the 2006 LISD
Elementary Zoning committee for my neighborhood. I volunteer at Deer Creek Elementary and I
teach Parenting with Love and Logic classes to parents of the community.
